Clover Leaf Socks

This weekend I published the pattern for the Clover Leaf Socks that I blogged about earlier this year. Alas, due to the pandemic I haven’t managed to arrange a proper photoshoot, so for now I am temporarily using one of the flat-lay photos I took when writing that post. Yes, I hadn’t yet sewn in the ends!

The pattern is the first to use a new pattern layout that I have created to ring the changes a little. This new layout features the ‘adder-back’ patterning found in many of the gloves Mary Allen of Dent knitted in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. It also features the text lozenge style I use on the yarn bands for my Yorkshire Warmth yarn, and on the labels of some of the knitters accessories I have created for my web shop.
