I have finished the main body of the stranded colourwork sampler I am making, and am now ready to steek it. Because this is knitted in Shetland wool the steek doesn’t need reinforcing. However, this is the sample for my class at the summer school of the Association Of Weavers, Spinners And Dyers. In order to learn a comprehensive set of steeking techniques my students will reinforce the steeks in their samplers, so I will reinforce the steek in this one.
