As well as visiting historic sites during our holiday, we also had a couple of trips into Munich, one of them to the Deutsches Museum. The children were very interested in the travel exhibits (boats, cars, planes, and space travel), while me and Marie were most eager to see the textiles area, where we found some historical spinning and weaving artefacts, including a mechanical carder:
