Yarndale 2021

It’s now two weeks since I was exhibiting at Yarndale for the first time in two years (last year’s show was an online event because of the pandemic). It was an absolute delight to see and chat with yarny friends in person after such a long time of only seeing them online.

Because the pandemic is still with us the show was somewhat quieter than usual. Although this did affect sales, it did not do so as badly as I had feared, and my overall feeling after the show is that it was very successful.

I launched a new jumper pattern at the show, ‘Coble’ which is a gansey inspired seamless knit in my Yorkshire Warmth. It was a big hit, with lots of folk stopping to admire the sample, and we nearly sold out of the stock of printed Coble patterns we had taken with us. I’m currently working on a blog post about the sleevecap shaping in Coble.

Here I am at Yarndale 2021:
