Last week I intended to produce a video tutorial for the double-rib tubular cast-off in Montse Stanley’s knitter’s handbook. Alas, it turned out to be such a complex technique I doubted my ability to teach it well enough for you to learn it from me. So, I unvented a much simpler mwthod instead. It’s such an obvious solution I’m confident many other will have also unvented it before me:

This was so helpful! I am finishing the Little Tyke vest. It is my first colorwork and steek project! This project was definitely more complex than I had imagined, and my heart sank when I saw the instructions “Thread this onto a darning needle and use it to graft the two sets of sts together using kitchener st, holding the purl sts behind the knit sts. It took a bit of googling to determine that you were describing a tubular cast-off. You might consider adding a link to this tutorial at that point in the Little Tyke pattern. I’ll post pictures when I finish!
