Description
Esholt takes Yorkshire’s gansey tradition and gives it a modern twist, with set-in sleeves and waist shaping to provide a figure-flattering silhouette.
SIZE
To fit 32(34:36:38:40:42:44:46:48:50:52: 54:56:58)” chest. The finished chest measurements include 0–9½cm/0–3¾” of positive ease.
MATERIALS
Two colours of sportweight/light DK weight yarn with approximately 280 metres/306 yards per 100g (140 metres/153 yards per 50g). See the table below for the number of 50g balls/skeins required in each size.
The pictured sample was knitted with Stolen Stitches ‘Nua’ in Kitten Fluff (MC) and Frog On The Wall (CC).
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
3.25mm/US 3 needles for flat knitting, and small and large diameter circular knitting.
2 stitchmarkers.
TENSION/GAUGE
28 sts and 34 rows/rounds per 10cm/4″ in blocked stocking stitch/stockinette.
Adjust needle size as necessary to achieve the specified tension.
