These pretty socks were named after a famous Yorkshire abbey that I love to visit with my family. The sock pattern is ideal for self-striping yarns, with a simple feather and fan panel on the sock front and back that creates pleasing undulation in the stripes. Extra knitting interest is provided by the unusual toe-up construction, with increases for the foot arch placed on the sole. The cuff is finished with an applied icord edging.
