A traditional top-down sock featuring Bavarian cables. The pattern includes full written instructions and charts. Sized to fit 20½(23:25½)cm / 8(9:10)” ankle and mid-foot circumferences.
The suggested needle size is 2.5mm/US 1½. Tension/gauge after blocking is 34 stitches and 42 rows per 10cm/4″ in stocking stitch/stockinette knitted in the round.
To make the socks you will need a 100g skein of a solid-coloured 4ply/fingering weight sock yarn. The pictured socks were made with Fyberspates ‘Sheila’s Sock’.
Marie –
These are gorgeous socks and the pattern (for which I knit the pictured sample) is very well written. These were my first ever twisted stitch cable socks, but with such clear instructions they knit up wonderfully, and I was very pleased with how the finished socks looked.
