Traditional selbu stars and border motifs adorn this winter warmer. Add the intended wearer's name for a gift that is sure to be loved! The scarf is made using double knitting technique on 2.25mm/US1 needles at a tension of 32 stitches and 42 rows to 10cm/4". Although the scarf is modelled by a child in the picture to the left here, the scarf length is customizable to make scarves for adults too. The pattern includes links to relevant online picture and video tutorials for the techniques encompassed. Instructions are also included for adding a name to the borders. A charted alphabet and blank charts are provided to this end. Dependent upon desired length materials required are 65 - 85g each of two colours of 4ply/fingering weight wool yarn - approximately 280 metres/305 yards - 365 metres/400yards.
